The Crone
One aspect of the triple goddess. She represents winter, the waning moon, post-menstral phases of a womans life. She is the dark lady that guids the dying into the next world and her cauldren of rebirth. Often times she is considered wise from years of experiance, and also because she is close enough to the next world to peek in. Quiet and introspective she holds her secrets dear. Crows accompany her as do dogs. In celtic-myth, not sure witch area, the gatekeeper-dog was named Dormarth (Death's Door).
